ADK Hospital has suspended visitation to the patients admitted at the hospital.

A statement issued by the hospital tonight said that due to the rising cases of COVID-19 in the country, they are taking measures accordingly to protect the general public and the frontline health workers.

And so, patient visitations will be suspended starting tomorrow. The hospital said that every admitted patient is allowed one bystander and they must be free of any symptoms of COVID-19.

The hospital also advises the general public not to visit the hospital unless absolutely necessary and give special attention to the safety measures of the hospital at the event of a visit.

With the rising number of daily cases in the country, the main government hospital, Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has suspended all surgeries except from emergency surgery.

Yesterday marked the highest number of positive cases reported on a single day totalling at 2,199. Since Wednesday, the daily cases have been above 2,000 and an average of 1,000 cases are being reported daily this month.
