The Chairman of the State Electric Company (STELCO), Mohamed Rasheed, has passed away.

ONE Online has learned that Rasheed,70, was being treated at ADK Hospital when he passed away today.

Rasheed, who was appointed as the Chairman of the STELCO on 12 June 2019 has served the company for over 50 years.

He joined STELCO in 1971 on an apprenticeship and has later worked as an engineer, Deputy Managing Director along with Executive Director and Assistant Managing Director.

Mohamed Rasheed has also filled the position of Deputy Managing Director and CEO of STELCO.
