An expatriate worker has passed away after falling from a building under construction at Kaafu Atoll Thilafushi.

Media Official of the Maldives Police Service has confirmed the incident to ONE Online.

The official said that the incident was reported at 9:40 a.m. this morning and the deceased was taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH). Police said that they are making the necessary inquiries regarding the incident.

Sources has said that the deceased is a 38-year-old Bangladeshi man.

The Media Official of IGMH that the man was brought to the hospital around 9:53 a.m. and was declared dead on arrival.
