A man has been found dead inside a residential house in Maafannu, Male' City.

Maldives Police Service has confirmed that the discovery of a dead body was reported at 8:03 a.m. this morning. Police said that the deceased is a 49-year-old local man and the necessary inquiries are being made.

The body was found at a house named Hinton.

ONE Online has learned that the deceased is Ahmed Naashid who has previously worked at a senior position at the State Trading Organisation (STO).
