A fire incident has taken place at the Fiyavathi Orphanage in Hulhumale'.

ONE Online has learned that the fire incident took place at 7 p.m. tonight and was extinguished quickly.

While the fire has been extinguished, members of the Fire and Rescue team of the MNDF are still at the scene.

ONE Online journalist at the scene said that there are a number of children on the roof of the orphanage trying to leave the premises.
