Agreement signed to develop fuel station to serve 24 vehicles at a time

An agreement has been signed to develop a large fuel station at the Male' Industrial Village.

At a special ceremony yesterday at the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, the agreement was signed between the Ministry and the Fuel Supply Maldives (FSM).

FSM today said that a modern fuel station will be developed at the Industrial Village capable of providing service to eight four-wheel vehicles and 16 two-wheel vehicles at a time.

Managing Director of FSM, Mohamed Gasam said that the new station is being developed right next to the current fuel station and would be three times bigger than the current one.

Gasam said that the new fuel station will be a modern station with self-service fuel pumps and they plan to open the new station with zero staff.

He said that they are also working to introduce self-service fuel pumps at a current fuel station before the new one opens.

FSM operates five fuel stations in the Male' City area.
