Speaking at the Health Emergency Operations Center ( HEOC) press conference, Spokesperson of the President's Office, Mohamed Mabrook Azeez said that people can travel with a negative test result to the islands that are not under monitoring.
He said a negative PCR test or the test result from a sample collected on the road as a random sample will be accepted as well.
Meanwhile, resort staff who has received two doses of the vaccines can now travel to their home islands as well, without an additional quarantine.
However, only the resorts that are not under monitoring can allow their staff to travel and all resorts are required to have ten percent of their staff tested once every month as active surveillance, according to the HPA.
