Speaking at the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC), Dr. Afzal has said that the people involved in delivering goods and cargo must wear masks and other protective gear.

Dr Afzal said that with the lockdown active in Male' City, the spread of COVID-19 will heavily depend on delivery personnel. Hence the doctor noted that such personnel need to take all necessary safety measures as it was crucial to control the spread of the virus.

The doctor also highlighted the importance of ensuring that they have the proper PPE and to check on whether any symptoms develop on the daily.

Dr Afzal said that some of the cases have shown that workers had gone to work even after developing symptoms which should not happen at any cost.
