The total number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives had risen to 2,030 after 54 more people recovered from the illness in the past 24 hours.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 54 which brings the total number of recoveries to 2,030. With this, the total number of active cases is now 390.

The agency also confirmed an additional 25 cases of COVID-19 infections in Maldives. These include 19 Maldivians, 4 Bangladeshis, 1 Indian, and 1 Nepali.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives is now 2,435.

So far there are 11 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are four Bangladeshis and five elderly Maldivians along with a Phillipines national as well as an Indonesian.
