Twenty-five people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours raising the total number of cases in the country to 2,435.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed an additional 25 cases of COVID-19 infections in Maldives. These include 19 Maldivians, 4 Bangladeshis, 1 Indian, and 1 Nepali.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives is now 2,435.

They added that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 54 which brings the total number of recoveries to 2,030. With this, the total number of active cases is now 390.

So far there are 11 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are four Bangladeshis and five elderly Maldivians along with a Phillipines national as well as an Indonesian.
