Education Ministry has advised to keep students with flu, fever and cold symptoms at home until they recover.

The Ministry made the statement in a circular issued to the schools regarding the prevention protocol at the schools regarding the Novel Corona Virus pandemic.

In the circular, the Ministry said that instructions are come from the Technical Advisory Group formed to reduce the impact of the Corona Virus to the Maldives. And said that the Ministry will continue to take the necessary measures to ensure the safety of the students and staff of the schools.

And so, the Ministry has advised to give a special attention to cleanliness at the school. The circular also advises that the nose and mouth be covered with a tissue when coughing and sneezing and dispose of the tissue immediately afterwards and watch the hands.

Education Ministry also advises frequent use of hand sanitizers or washing hands when returning home or returning to the classrooms.

The Ministry has called on the schools to make sure these precautionary measures reach the students and staff to ensure the schools are safe.
