A man has been found dead inside a residential house in Male’ City.

The body was discovered at Henveiru Annaarumaage in Male’ City. Sources have said that the deceased is a 29-year-old local man.

Annaarumaage is the residence of Ismail Haisham Rasheed, the man accused in the murder of the journalist and blogger, Yaamin Rasheed. One Online has learned that the deceased is Hussain Hishaam Rasheed, the brother of the accused.

While officers of the Maldives Police Service are at the residence for their investigation, the body of the deceased have now been moved to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH). Police have yet to make an official statement regarding the death.

Hisham was once arrested by the police in 2018.
