Official talks part of the Sri Lankan Prime Minister's visit to the Maldives have started at the President's Office.

The talks include strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries along with cooperation in various sectors.

Agreements in different sectors are set to be signed between the countries after the official talks.

New agreements to be signed include extending the on-arrival visa at Sri Lanka for Maldivians to 90 days. Currently, Maldivians receive 30 days of stay.

Another agreement to be signed include youth development agreement.

The talks taking place at the President's Office include cabinet ministers alongside President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
