The Ministry of Social and Family Development has successfully concluded the second batch of the Skills Enhancement Programme for Social Workers, as part of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s pledge to enhance the quality of public services.
The training sessions, held between 23rd and 28th November 2024, saw the participation of 50 caseworkers from Family and Children Service Centres across various atolls. The first batch of this training programme was conducted earlier in November, from the 12th to the 16th.
The initiative aims to equip social workers with essential technical knowledge, training, and skills to enhance their current practices and improve the quality of services provided to the public. By addressing case management challenges and building capacity, the programme seeks to ensure that social workers are better prepared to meet the needs of families and children.
This effort underscores the government’s commitment to fostering professional development in the social sector and delivering meaningful support to communities across the Maldives.
