A man has died while receiving treatment after falling onto the street near Artificial Beach.

The deceased has been identified as Ahmed Shareef (53) of Sosange, S. Hithadhoo.

Police said today that Ahmed Shareef fell onto the street at around 8:56 this morning. Police attended the scene and took him to ADK Hospital, they said.

"The hospital informed the police that the man passed away at around 10:03 while receiving treatment at ADK," the police said.

The police said they are investigating further aspects related to this case.
