Maldives and Tajikistan have signed an agreement allowing their citizens to travel visa-free between the two countries for stays of up to 30 days.

The agreement was signed at a ceremony held at the Permanent Mission of Tajikistan to the United Nations in New York. Dr Ali Naseer Mohamed, the Permanent Representative of the Maldives to the United Nations, signed on behalf of the Maldives, while Hikmat Jonibek Ismoil, the Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the United Nations, signed on behalf of Tajikistan.

This new arrangement is expected to strengthen bilateral relations and promote travel and exchange between the two nations.
