Kanduhulhudhoo Health Centre has revealed that one of the two men injured in last night’s shooting incident will be transferred to Malé for further treatment.

The altercation, which occurred around 9:30 p.m., involved two men aged 37 and 40, reportedly over a drug-related dispute. Both sustained injuries from sharp-edged weapons.

An official from the Kanduhulhudhoo Health Centre reported that one of the injured suffered deep cuts, including a three-inch wound on his neck and another on his crown, as well as injuries to his back and head.

Currently receiving treatment at Villingili Hospital, the individual is in stable condition. Senior Administrator Aiman Mohamed stated that arrangements are being made to transfer him to Malé for advanced care.

"We have been informed that the patient is to be taken to IGMH in Malé for further surgery. His condition remains stable," Aiman confirmed.

The incident is under investigation, with no further updates from authorities at this time.
