Two people have been injured in a violent altercation in Kanduhulhudhoo late last night.
The incident, reported around 9:30 pm, began as a dispute over drugs and escalated, with both individuals attacking each other using sharp-edged weapons.
According to the Kanduhulhudhoo Health Centre, one of the injured sustained deep cuts, including a three-inch wound on the neck and another on the crown of the head, as well as injuries to the back and head. Both individuals were transported via sea ambulance to Villingili Hospital due to excessive bleeding and the need for surgical care.
Police have yet to comment on the incident. Investigations into the violence are ongoing.
