The KFC outlet in Hulhumalé has decided to relocate to another area due to declining business.

The current KFC outlet in Hulhumalé has been temporarily closed for relocation to another area.

KFC told One Online today that their current location in Hulhumalé is not very conducive to business growth, and therefore they have decided to move to a better business area in Hulhumalé. However, they did not disclose the exact new location.

In addition to KFC, the Pizza Hut outlet in Hulhumalé has also been closed. However, the reason for its closure is not clear.

While KFC and Pizza Hut have been closed, campaigns have been launched in many countries around the world to boycott businesses associated with Israel in protest of Israel's attacks on Gaza, Palestine. These businesses include KFC, Pizza Hut, and the Coca-Cola Company.

However, KFC has stated that they do not support Israel and that their business is not associated with any political matters.

In connection with this issue, on November 11, 2023, a group of masked individuals entered the KFC outlet in Male', threw black oil, and threatened to stop these businesses in the Maldives.

The glass window of the KFC outlet was first broken at midnight on July 16 last year. The glass window was broken for the second time in the early hours of July 20, 2023.
