A 33-year-old man has been arrested in Hulhumale’ Phase I for allegedly attempting to attack a policeman with a sharp-edged weapon.

According to the police, the incident occurred around 1830hrs when the officer intervened to stop the suspect from attacking another individual with a sharp object.

Authorities have confirmed that the suspect is a local man and that an investigation into the matter is underway.
