Male' City Council has opened registration for its Quran and Madhaha competitions today.

The Male' City Council said today that they have opened the opportunity to participate in the Quran recitation and Madhaha singing competitions, which the council has decided to hold during the upcoming Ramadan. Applications are open until the end of this month.

The Quran recitation competition is divided into two categories: open-book recitation and recitation from memory.

The Male' City Council said that both the Quran and Madhaha competitions will have six age categories. These are: under 6 years, under 9 years, under 11 years, under 13 years, under 16 years, and under 19 years. The age category will be determined based on the participant's age as of January 1, 2024.

The council also stated that the recitations of participants in the under 6 years category will not be judged in both the Quran and Madhaha competitions.

The council further said that the date of the competition will be announced later by the Male' City Council.
