Finance Minister Moosa Zameer has outlined the government's plans for upcoming projects as part of the proposed budget for the next fiscal year. In his remarks, Zameer addressed concerns about stalled projects and assured the public that the government would focus on ensuring all planned initiatives are carried out efficiently.

The Minister explained that many projects started in the past faced delays due to budget constraints, lack of cash flow, or issues with the companies responsible for carrying out the work. However, he emphasised that this time, projects would be prioritised with proper allocation of funds to ensure smoother execution.

Minister Zameer confirmed that the government’s current project list includes initiatives across the country, including islands, cities, and Male'. He assured that no island would be left out, and the government is committed to delivering on these projects once it is certain they can be funded within the budget.

The government plans to announce the details of the upcoming projects once the budgetary space for them has been finalised.
