President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to attend the Extraordinary Joint Arab-Islamic Summit at the invitation of King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

Upon his arrival at King Khalid International Airport, President Dr Muizzu was warmly received by Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Riyadh Region.

At the summit, President Dr Muizzu will join other Islamic leaders in addressing pressing regional issues, including the recent escalation of violence in Palestinian territories and Lebanon. This summit, following the November 11, 2023, joint Arab-Islamic gathering, seeks to strengthen unified efforts for peace and stability in the region.

President Dr Muizzu is expected to address the summit this afternoon.
