B Eydhafushi harbour expansion project, progressing rapidly, has reached 94% completion for dredging the existing harbour and 93% for the harbour channel.

Key components of the project include dredging over 28,000 cubic meters from the harbour and additional dredging for the channel, alongside the construction of a 402-metre quay wall, a 170-metre breakwater, and a 383-metre revetment.

Additional infrastructure includes an 11x11 metre concrete ramp, an 18x2 metre bridge, harbour pavement covering 1,814 square metres, and installation of lights, mooring buoys, and an access platform for the high-speed ferry network.

The project, valued at MVR 64.67 million, aims to improve accessibility and enhance the harbour’s facilities, reflecting the administration's focus on sustainable and well-equipped maritime infrastructure.
