The Ministry of Tourism has signed an agreement with the Maldives National University (MNU) to build a state-of-the-art five-star resort and a training school on the island of Hulhumendhoo.

The agreement, formalised at a ceremony held at MNU, was signed by Tourism Minister Ibrahim Faisal and MNU Vice-Chancellor Aishath Shehnaz.

This initiative aims to create a hub for aspiring tourism professionals, offering hands-on training through the resort, where students will gain practical experience while serving tourists. Minister Faisal emphasised that the project would significantly enhance career opportunities for individuals looking to pursue a career in the tourism sector.

The resort will not only provide top-tier services for visitors but will also play a key role in building the skills of the future workforce in the Maldives' thriving tourism industry.
