Higher Education Minister Maryam Maria's father, and renowned businessman, Mohamed Yusuf (Kuwaa Mohodhey) has passed away at the age of 75.

He was a well-respected figure, particularly recognized for his contributions to the field of trade. He was known for his generosity and service to the community, with many remembering him for his friendly and approachable nature.

President Mohamed Muizzu expressed his condolences following Yusuf’s passing, acknowledging the late Yusuf’s significant contributions to the nation and his kind-hearted demeanor.

The last rites for Mohammad Yusuf will be held at the Islamic Centre after the Isha prayers this evening.
