The Progressive National Congress (PNC) has introduced a public event series called the ‘People’s Salla Forum’ to facilitate discussions on the state budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

Centred around the theme "Gedhoruverikamuge Budget 2025," the forums will take place at PNC’s headquarters, and aim to encourage a community-wide conversation on the budget’s housing allocation and its broader financial framework.

At tonight’s session, the panel includes key PNC figures, such as Ibrahim Shujau, Vice-President of PNC and MP for Baarah; Mohamed Firzul, Under Secretary for Legal Affairs at the President’s Office; and Ahmed Saeed Mustafa, Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Finance. Attendees are invited to engage actively, with an open floor for questions to the panel, providing an interactive platform for citizens to voice their concerns and inquire about specific budget provisions, especially in housing.

The sessions will continue throughout the month, providing citizens with a chance to delve into the government’s financial priorities for 2025 and express their views on proposed allocations and plans.
