The State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) today launched its Strategic Action Plan for the next five years.
The plan was launched by STELCO Managing Director Hussain Fahmy at a ceremony held on Sunday.
STELCO said the plan was prepared with the advice and guidance of the company's board as part of Fahmy's efforts to see what can be done to keep the electricity, water and sewerage industry in line with the ongoing development of the country, in line with the strong policies set out by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.
The plan was based on ensuring service improvement and sustainability, as well as ensuring the trust and confidence of the people.
STELCO said it has sought the views and consultations of the company's top executives and has developed departmental management plans in line with the views of the company's middle management unit heads and their subordinate teams.
The Strategic Action Plan has a framework of five strategic objectives, 19 strategic goals, 55 targets and 96 actions, which will identify actions and targets for each department and establish a system to monitor their achievement.
Fahmy said the action plan prepared by the educated youth with modern thinking is a strong foundation for determining the future. Having such a plan will make it easier to run the company, all areas of the company will work towards the same goal, strengthen the operation and ensure that the expenditure incurred from the company's finances is facilitated to achieve the goals set by the company.
Fahmy added that the plan will improve the quality of services provided by STELCO and further improve the trust and relationship between the people and the company.
