The Maldives Media Council (MMC) has postponed their Journalism Awards to coming Wednesday night.

The ceremony was initially scheduled to be held at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Umar Zahir Office Building in Hulhumalé at 8:30 pm on Monday.

However, the council confirmed the postponement of the ceremony in a post on their X Account.

The deadline for applications for the award expired on July 11th with 86 entries received from 18 categories.

The MMC said it has received submissions for all categories except audio journalism and the best production in the atoll.

Categories for Journalism Awards:

MMC stated that it has received nominations for all categories except Audio Journalism and Best Atoll Production.
