Parliament Committee on Government Oversight has passed to approve the appointment of Abdullah Khaleel as the Foreign Minister, Moosa Zameer as Finance Minister and Abdullah Nazim as Health Minister today.

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu reshuffled his cabinet, and submitted for parliamentary approval on October 14th.

The committee unanimously approved the three nominees. After the committee approves it, the committee report will then be submitted to the Parliament, where lawmakers will be asked to vote on a final approval.

Before the cabinet reshuffle on the 30th of last month, Moosa Zameer was the Foreign Minister while Abdullah Khaleel was the Health Minister. Abdullah Nazim, who was appointed Health Minister, was the Public Policy Secretary of the President's Office.
