Maldives Police Service has started investigating a death threat against TikToker Mariyam Sama.

Sama was threatened during a TikTok live, where a Maldivian woman had threatened Sama by saying that she will slit her throat.

Police today said they have received a report regarding a death threat against a woman on TikTok and are investigating the matter further.

Sama, who rose to fame by raising funds on TikTok Live for the Maldivian community at need, had previously received death threats as well.
