Assistant Commissioner of Police Ahmed Shifan has been transferred from the post of Head of Police Commissioner's Office to another department.

In a message shared with the media today, Police noted that the police administrative structure is always changing.

As such, they noted that Shifan has been transferred to the post of Head of Service Development Director.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Moosa Ali, who was in charge of service development, has been appointed as the head of the commissioner's office. He was appointed to the post yesterday.

Shifan was appointed head of the Police Commissioner's Office last December. He was also appointed as the police spokesperson. Before that, he was at the Addu City Police Academy.

Moosa was previously the Regional Commander for Noonu, Raa, Baa and Lhaviyani Atoll. He was transferred to Service Development Director after his term expired.
