Bangladeshi national, MD Arafat Hossain, 32, has been deported after an investigation into the alleged use of cat meat in meals found no such evidence.
Police said in a statement today that the investigation had found no evidence that Arafat had prepared any food with cat meat and therefore, there was not enough evidence to prosecute him.
"The suspect was handed over to Immigration and later deported from the country," police said.
Arafat was arrested in August on charges of killing a cat and selling its meat.
One Online has confirmed that Arafat's food was prepared using very unhygienic and expired ingredients. Arafat also sells various types of submarines and burgers in various shops. Many accused it of containing cat meat.
