Maldives Police Service (MPS) on Thursday revealed that a 13-year-old student has died at Huravee School in Hulhumalé.

In a message shared with the media, Police noted that they had received reports of a student being taken to the Hulhumalé Hospital this morning following a health emergency. They further noted that the hospital had informed that the student was deceased upon arrival at the hospital.

The deceased student is a 13-year-old girl.

Police further added that they are investigating the case.
