A man has been arrested for breaking into a shop in Hithadhoo, Addu City, where he allegedly threatened and robbed the staff.

According to a police statement to the media, a 40-year-old Maldivian man was apprehended in connection with the incident reported on Monday. His arrest was made yesterday under a court order.

A video circulating on social media shows two men entering the shop and threatening the staff. One of the individuals appeared to be holding an object resembling an iron rod during the confrontation.
