Maldives Police Service (MPS) on Tuesday arrested seven, including four locals, for prostitution.

According to the police, they raided a spa being operated in Hulhumalé after receiving reports that it was operating as a front for a prostitution ring.

During the raid, three Maldivian women, one Maldivian man, and three Thai women were arrested.

  • Aishath Abdul Razzaq, 55, Dhafthar no. 6810, K. Male’

The three Thai women were remanded in custody for 10 days, the three Maldivian women for seven days and the man for five days.

Police are investigating the incident further.
