Parliament Speaker Abdul Raheem Abdulla departed late last night to attend the 149th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).

IPU Assembly set to take place in Geneva, Switzerland from today until May 17.

The Speaker is accompanied by several MPs, including Asma Rasheed of Maafannu Medhu Constituency, Mohamed Shahid of Hulhudhoo Constituency, Mohamed Ismail of Villimale' Constituency, Ali Fazad from Fuvahmulah Medhu Constituency, and Amin Faisal of Kanditheem Constituency.
