A three-year-old boy has been injured after being hit by a motorcycle.

A three-year-old boy was injured in the accident which occurred at around 3:40 pm today. The child was hit by a motorcycle while crossing the road near Villa Mart on Majeedhee Magu. The child fell from impact and was taken to IGMH with a swollen forehead.

Police did not say whether the child was trying to cross the road alone or with someone.

Police said the accident was caused by a licensed driver. The case is being investigated.
