A man was found injured outside a store on Majeedhee Magu, Male' City, in the early hours of Thursday.

Authorities were alerted to the incident around 0125hrs according to the police. The injured individual, identified as a Maldivian citizen, was taken to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), where he received treatment and was discharged at approximately 0619hrs.

A video circulating on social media shows police officers assisting the man, who appears to be in pain and lying on the ground.

The cause of his injuries remains unclear, as police have yet to provide details. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
