President Dr. Mohammed Muizzu on Wednesday met with Maldivians residing in Bangalore, India.

The President was accompanied by his wife, Madam Sajidha Mohammed. The meeting took place during the President's current visit to India.

Speaking at the meeting, the President said that the government's foreign policy is written in in a way for the government to facilitate things for the people living in different countries.

"So in this meeting, I really want you to tell me your feelings, concerns or ideas, even if they are not specifically on the agenda. Then we will work through our High Commission to find solutions," he said.

The President said his visit to India was a very successful one and the objectives had been achieved. The President also assured that the independence of the Maldives will not be undermined.
