Prosecutor General (PG)'s Office has filed charges against three individuals for allegedly forcing a man into a house in Male' city and robbing him at knifepoint.
The incident was reported on July 24 and involves accusations that the victim was forced into M. Masfan, threatened and robbed. The accused are said to have taken his mobile phone and transferred money out of his account, and used his cash card to withdraw money from an ATM.
The police arrested Aishath (43), a resident of the same house, along with Mohamed Reehan (27), and Shaggeeq Ibrahim (35) from S. Hithadhoo/Soma. It has been revealed that Aishath and Reehan are mother and son. All three suspects are currently in judicial custody.
On September 9, the case was forwarded to the PG's Office for prosecution.
According to the PG office, the trio has been charged under various sections of the Penal Code, including causing hurt, unlawfully obtaining information, and theft.
