President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on Sunday met with Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. Subramaniam Jaishankar.

Dr. Jaishankar paid a call of courtesy on President Muizzu, who embarked on a five-day official visit to India today.

Photos shared by the President's Office show that the President was accompanied by Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullah Khaleel, Defense Minister Mohammed Ghassan Maumoon, Finance Minister Moosa Zameer, Health Minister Abdullah Nazim Ibrahim, Economic Minister Mohammed Saeed and Construction Minister Dr. Abdullah Muthalib.

The President's Office said the two discussed a wide range of issues related to bilateral priorities.

The President is scheduled to meet Maldivians residing in Delhi later tonight.

The official welcome of President Muizzu by India, the meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the signing of official talks and agreements between the two countries will take place tomorrow.
