The streets of New Delhi have been decorated with the Maldivian flag ahead of Maldivian President Dr. Mohammed Muizzu's official visit to India.

Photos of the streets of Delhi with the Maldivian flag are circulating on social media.

President Muizzu is scheduled to arrive in India tomorrow and will conclude the visit and return to the Maldives on Thursday.

During his visit, the President will meet with the Indian President, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior officials to discuss further strengthening bilateral relations, the President's Office said.

The President will be accompanied by a high-level delegation of the Government of Maldives. The Government of India will arrange all the hospitality arrangements for the delegation.

This is the President's second visit to India. The President had earlier visited India to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The President also met the Prime Minister of India in December last year on the sidelines of the COP-28 International Environment Conference.
