Minister of State for Gender Aminath Hussain Shareef and Deputy Minister Aminath Namza have been reassigned to other ministries following their dismissal from the Gender Ministry.

According to reports, Aminath Namza has been transferred to the Ministry of Cities, Local Government, and Public Works, while Aminath Hussain has been moved to the Ministry of Fisheries. The Gender Ministry has not responded to requests for clarification regarding the reasons for these reassignments.

In a related development, Aishath Shooza, a director at the Gender Ministry who oversaw the Centre for People with Special Needs in Guraidhoo, has raised concerns of discrimination, alleging that she was forced to leave her position, which has led to significant mental distress.
