President Dr Mohamed Muizzu will undertake a state visit to India from October 6th to 10th, 2024, following an official invitation from the President of India, Droupadi Murmu.

During the visit, President Dr Muizzu will engage in high-level discussions with President Murmu, Prime Minister His Excellency Narendra Modi, and other senior Indian government officials. The talks will focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation and deepening the longstanding ties between the two nations.

This follows President Dr Muizzu’s previous meeting with Prime Minister Modi on the sidelines of the COP28 summit in Dubai on December 1st, 2023, as well as his attendance at the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Modi and the Council of Ministers at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on June 9th, 2024.

Accompanied by a high-level Maldivian delegation, President Dr Muizzu will receive full hospitality from the Government of India during the visit.

The President is committed to fostering stronger bilateral relations with key nations, ensuring that the Maldives maintains a dynamic and forward-looking foreign policy to support the country's development and growth.
