STELCO has announced that there will be scheduled power cuts in certain parts of the city on Friday morning due to essential maintenance work.

The company stated that the power outages are necessary to upgrade the capacity of the medium voltage distribution grid network. The affected areas will experience power cuts between 0600hrs - 0630hrs, and again between 0945 - 1030hrs. These outages will impact parts of Maafannu, Machangolhi, and Galolhu.

STELCO has apologised for any inconvenience this may cause to its customers.
