Police have launched an investigation into the alleged blackmail of a child in L. Gan.

In a Facebook post, the victim's mother alleged that a group of students barged into her home, threatened to kill the student, and dragged him outside.

It is alleged that the child was stopped, beaten up and video-graphed. According to the mother, the videos have been uploaded to an Instagram group with death threats towards the child.

The matter has been brought to the notice of the police, police said today. Police said they are working closely with the authorities concerned to gather information on the issue.
