Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has appealed respect officials such as parliament members to refrain from spreading false information for political gain.

ACC made the statement in after two parliament members had denied they had any information of who received and used the money from the MMPRC corruption, even though they both had previously stated otherwise during a press conference.

The statement put out by ACC regarding this noted that they had noticed that respected officials of the government have been spreading false information for political gains regarding ongoing corruption cases. In addition to this, certain parliament members have talked about cases without proper research or obtaining the complete side of the story which alters public perspective on things.

Upon being presented to the commission regarding such claims, they often go back on their statements and claim that they in reality are not aware of any such things. Previous instances related to this has proven how ill informed such people are when talking about these cases, according to the commission.

While ACC released the statement today, the President of PNC Abdul Raheem Abdulla and Kelaa MP Ali Arif had previously claimed that they knew which MPs got the money from MMPRC corruption and how it was spent.

However, when they were presented to the ACC they back tracked on their statments.
