A fire broke out early Monday morning at a house in Maradhoo, Addu City, severely damaging a warehouse and a hand cart.

The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Southern Area, Hithadhoo Fire Station, received the emergency call at 0546 hrs, and firefighters quickly responded to the scene. The fire was brought under control and extinguished by 0645 hrs.

According to MNDF, the fire originated in a warehouse established for business purposes within the house, damaging both the main warehouse and the structure it was housed in.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
