A man who attempted to steal a parked motorcycle has been arrested.

Maldives Police Service said that a man acting suspicious close to a parked motorcycle near Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) was noticed by an off-duty police officer and when the officer intervened after the man tried to steal the vehicle, he tried to flee.

However, the suspect has been taken into Police custody.

Police said that the vehicle in question, too, are in the custody of the police.
